FOR SALE.

Ten inch Dobsonian, F4.5, Orion, full thickness primary. 3/4" birch plywood
cell, 3 point with 1 1/2" supporting disk, includes 12 volt muffin fan,
no power supply. Orion secondary, 2 1/8in diameter. Four vane aluminum spider
and secondary mount. Crayford 2 inch, low profile focuser with 1 1/4 inch
adaptor. 12 1/2 inch Sonotube, 54 in. long. 3/4 in. birch plywood trim rings
at both top and bottom of tube. Upper trim ring is permanently attached
to the tube. Bottom trim ring is removable to facilitate mirror cell removal.
Orion 9x50 correct image, right angle finder. 3/4 in. birch, off axis solar
mask with 80mm Celestron solar filter. Mask has four attachment bolts to
securely mount the mask to the front trim ring. Weight of tube assembly
with mirror, secondary assembly and focuser: 50 pounds. 20 inch dia. altitude
bearings, 3/4 in. Birch core, Ebony Star laminate. 14 1/4 in. square by
17 in. long tube support box, 3/4 in. birch plywood, uses 8 threaded brass
inserts into which 8 1/4-20 hex head cap screws are attached from inside
the tube. 22 1/2 in. dia. azimuth bearing. 3/4 in. fir ground board. 3/4
in. birch plywood rocker box structure, 23 in. high to the base of the altitude
bearing radius. Ebony Star laminate azimuth bearing surface under rocker
box. Virgin teflon bearing pads on both altitude and azimuth axes. Custom
Teflon bushings reduce friction around azimuth axis bolt. 3 hockey puck
feet under the ground board. Weight of rocker box assembly: 30 pounds. This
is a heavy, rock solid, 10 in. Dob with virtually no vibration. Motions
are smooth and spot on, with no annoying "settle down" after making a move
or focusing. Designed by an engineer, the eyepiece height, when the tube
is verticle, is at the correct height for an average person to peer staright
into the eyepiece without need for a step ladder. Conversly, the design
height precludes having to bend over excessively when observing objects
30 to 60 degrees above the horizon. Reason for selling: bought two more
